Fifty percent of Americans cannot afford to miss a single day's work, or they will be evicted and find themselves living in their cars or under bridges or miss an auto insurance payment and lose their driver's license.
These people are the ones that do the real work. They work in factories, warehouses, and agriculture. The repair streets, build homes, staff hospitals, and pump gas. Without them life would grind to a halt.
It is only us technical types, "creatives!@#", and professionals that can afford to think about a better life.
